Danielle Konnerth, owner of Konnerth Consulting (DCS, LLC) in Wentzville, MO, is doing what she's always dreamed of doing. "I wasn't ever really sure what I would wind up doing. I just knew I wanted to be my own boss." Her own boss she is, working from home since 2004 and loving it. "I worked for a corporation and felt I wasn't able to be around for my children as much as I wanted or needed to be. Also, as I saw trait and genetic reporting requirements grow and change in the industry, and more providers coming on board, I could see a need for independent seed companies to have a support system and an advocate. Starting my consulting firm fulfilled the needs on all three fronts: I became my own boss, I had time to be able to watch my children grow, and I became a voice for the independent seed company."
